I don't have one readily available, and have cringed at some of my examiner articles after I put them out. To Anonymous with the children in public schools - it is a violation for the school to allow those religious flyers to be distributed to students. You can stop that.mims h. carterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09905366072537543269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887785655433155752.post-72920401146085401752012-01-31T23:11:53.579-06:002012-01-31T23:11:53.579-06:00@Bob Spencer I totally agree that there are many ...@Bob Spencer I totally agree that there are many other church and state separation violations that occur daily. I chose these 2 examples for a specific reason, they were current or recent news items. I wanted to clear away all the "religious persecution" claims and show what the real issue actually was.

It is in fact the Location of these item and not the message or image they portray that is in violation. If the same item were placed on display on private property (were they belong) then there would not have been any issues or complaints to report about on the news. Once people learn that public property is not where these things belong the less fuss, time and tax payer money will be wasted.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04478887871356223777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887785655433155752.post-75435428769728080902012-01-31T22:57:47.764-06:002012-01-31T22:57:47.764-06:00Thank you for the heads up on the Grammar. Tweenky was fast asleep and no way I was waking her at that hour (I like being in the living world, lol). I planned to have her look it over when she woke, which she has done and made the corrections.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04478887871356223777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887785655433155752.post-89993891688384780442012-01-31T17:22:17.725-06:002012-01-31T17:22:17.725-06:00I think that the wall between church and state inv...I think that the wall between church and state involves more than location and display; it is a matter of implied endorsement and financial support. It is quite disturbing that church-sponsored schools receive funds from the government. This means all of us are paying taxes (or accumulating debt that will become taxes) to support schools that teach things we may be very much against.

Making much noise of physical things does not offset the enforcement of fiscal things.Bob Spencerhttp://www.libertyandjusticeforall.usnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887785655433155752.post-36377962080867230302012-01-31T15:51:18.072-06:002012-01-31T15:51:18.072-06:00As a southern atheist with a child in public schoo...As a southern atheist with a child in public school, we're constantly bombarded with religious/church fliers in our child's folder, etc. I think what you're doing here is a really good thing, but I have one bit of constructive criticism for you that I truly only mean to be helpful. Before you post, have someone edit your blog. It would seem a lot more credible if there weren't so many grammatical errors. (ie: "irregardless" isn't a word, it's "regardless", also several typos, "its" instead of "it's" etc.)
Like I said, I REALLY appreciate what you're doing here and I will continue to read and share, just think it could use a little polish, for what it's worth.
Thanks!
:)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887785655433155752.post-82444592059619369162012-01-31T08:26:20.979-06:002012-01-31T08:26:20.979-06:00It is amazing that as Christian rhetoric becomes l...It is amazing that as Christian rhetoric becomes louder and closer to becoming codified, fewer and fewer members of the flock are willing to commit to their own beliefs when the possibility exist that there could be legal consequences.
