*The guy who started ...whoops, forgot my footnote:

*The guy who started the whole thing's website is what i mean here. there are multiple "Personhood USA" websites. but the whole thing was created by THAT GUY [whose name i can never remember] and for THOSE REASONS - hypocrisy of the highest order, given that he and his wife used IVF.
but these are HIS stated and aimed-for goals with Personhood Amendments, and they color EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT AT THEM. there is NO freaking way that people sign on to THIS specific movement, this specific FORM of this movement, written/created by THIS SPECIFIC GUY, and don't have the EXACT SAME GOALS. i'm just sayin. if they WEREN'T after ALL those same goals, they'd do their OWN.

and honestly - why the HELL is it OK for Personhood USA - based out of COLORADO, *NOT* out of Mississippi - to contribute, but NOT for Planned Parenthood to contribute? WHO'S using "out of state dollars" the most?

sorry, went ranty there.

i'm here. i haven't quit, and i'm not going to. *I'M* safe now [hooray for tubal ligation!] but my sisters, my nieces, my friends... they aren't.denelianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08083149213773118359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8887785655433155752.post-20728356107536247972011-11-28T05:46:49.800-06:002011-11-28T05:46:49.800-06:00"Only 24 people out of 10,000 polled voted “n..."Only 24 people out of 10,000 polled voted “no” because there were no exceptions for rape and incest..."
that's the money quote for "voted against because they're pro-choice" and it equals 0.24%

8% is 80 people.

SICK of the accusations of Planned Parenthood. abortions make up 3% of the work PP does. i've NEVER been to a PP that performs abortions. VERY few do

also, all anyone needs to do is go to Personhood USA's actual webpage - last time i was there, it talked about how the Personhood Amendment was created* to A) stop abortion B) stop all non-barrier forms of birth control and C) stop IVF because zygotes that aren't implanted are generally discarded
there was, at one point, a link to the Department of Health and Human Services "recommendation" that ALL women act, AT ALL TIMES, as if they were "pre-pregnant" - effectively recommended that ALL women [meaning “any female who menstruates”], NEVER drink, smoke, use street drugs, most Rx drugs, most OTC drugs, or caffeine, neither exercise "vigoriously"nor avoid exercise, and on and on and on. it seemed like the whole recommendation was "because you have a uterus that works you can NEVER do ANYTHING that MIGHT "endanger" a fetus!"
and this link was followed by a LONG rant about how women shouldn't have the RIGHT to do ANYTHING that MIGHT be dangerous to a fetus if they were pregnant, even when they're NOT pregnant, even when there's no possibility of pregnancy.

not to mention all the other things that one can discover happening today w/r/t women and pregnancy - the women who have been arrested, charged, jailed for a miscarriage or still birth; women who have, or have almost, died because someone wouldn't treat a medical problem because it could/would harm/kill the fetus; the women who have been given COURT ORDERS to force them to stay in hospital on "bed rest" against their will [especially the poor woman who was a single mother of 3 who to have 2 jobs to make ends meet, who went to her doc at 3 months because she had spotting. doctor ordered complete bed rest. she left the appointment. the next day the doctor and cops showed up with a court order, wouldn't let her call someone to watch her kids OR let her bring the kids to the hospital - FORCED her to stay in the hospital. the next day she miscarried - and the doc THEN tried to have her arrest for "negligent homocide of a fetus" because she didn't go on full bedrest immediately and for “abandoning her children” when she was kidnapped via court order- she's now suing EVERYONE involved for kidnapping and wrongful imprisonment.]

or all the other women harmed, on a daily basis, because of this worship of the "pre-born". the women forcibly taken to a hospital against their will for birth [even in states where home birth and mid-wives are legal] the women forced to have C-sections; the women who have been tried for, and often convicted of, "child abuse" or "attempted child abuse" because they refused a C-section or TRIED to refuse a C-section [WAY too many C-sections, done for ANY reason they can think of, and something like 92% performed in the US are UNNECESSARY] the women who were tried for, and often convicted of, “child abuse” because they took meds necessary to their survival.

i could go on and on. but it boils down to this: these people don't care about CHILDREN - if they did, they'd be pushing for more things to help the children already here in the US - they care that women HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS MEN - and are doing ANY AND EVERYTHING they CAN to put a stop to that. THEY may not think they hate women - they often think they're "helping" because "women just are never capable or competent enough to make their own decisions" - but they patently DO hate women. and want to go back to owning us making all our decisions for us.
