great videos. i watched all three [i can't actually recommend watching all 3 at the same time - much of it's redunant, which i'm sure was intention, as different people are going to be led in by different things]
i had been posting your videos to my LJ, but i'm now just going to link to this site - where one can get all they want, at whatever speed they want.
Welcome, denelian, and thanks for your support. I've been on bedrest the past few days so this is my first chance to get back into the groove.
We did choose to repeat a lot of key info in this video because time is short before the vote and we're still trying to get facts out to the people. This will definitely not be our standard show format. Also, Nathan needs a mic that can boost him a bit. We have some more bugs to work out but we hope you find helpful information here.
i understand bedrest, all too well. i just had another surgery [my 8th? i think, in less than 3 years] but i'm to know that you're feeling better [when i didn't know you were ill to begin with... being nice always comes off slightly wrong online, sorry]
i wasn't saying there was anything wrong with the repition - i understood it perfectly. i'm NOT in Mississippi, i'm in Ohio - where people are poised to attempt to add pretty much the exact same measure if it passes there [or, hell, even if it's DOESN'T]. i'm supporting you because it's WRONG, but ALSO in the hopes that it won't happen here. that bill opens the door to, essentially, stripping ALL rights from any woman [or girl!] physically capable of getting pregnant. it's an abomination.
sadly, i'm on disability, i can't donate a lot [and i'm not sure who to donate to? i donate $10 to Planned Parenthood every month. is there a specific organization is Miss. that's opposing 26 that CAN receive private donations from out-of-state? of course, my $10 donate will be blown up by the "pro" side, but they're ALREADY doing that, hypocrites lol. let me know? would donating to you and Nathan help? it's not a lot, it's what i would have given PP this month, but it's what i have. if not you, another group? thanks!]
REALLY - THANK YOU. i lived in Alabama for a while, i still have friends there [and some who moved to Biluxi? how do you spell it?] and they're all HORRIFIED by this, too. *shudder* it's nice to know that logical people DO still exist, that it's not JUST the exremists in the South, you know?
there i go with a book-sized comment again. sorry.
No offense taken. We are always happy to get constructive criticism. Yes, you can be sure that Personhood is coming soon and I think Ohio is next.
PP is always a great place to donate but if you want to target amendment 26, I recommend going to http://www.votenoon26.org for donations. They are the lead group in advertising and such. If all you can spare is some encouragement then we will gladly take it. We're very new at this stuff and it's good to have support.
Nathan and I firmly intend to keep this blog/podcast/group free as long as possible. This is a labor of love for us because we don't have a lot of money either. But we are rich in time and, hopefully, ideas.
Take good care and come to see us again real soon!
thank you for that rec - they'll be getting my donation this month [and i already talk to my friend at the one PP left here - she's actually very happy for me to donate there this month - the vote is on TUESDAY. i wish i'd heard about all this sooner - i've spent the past several months in and out of the hospital, not paying attention because i *couldn't*. duladid and thinking don't go together.]
i'll be here everytime there's a new post, even if i don't comment. you and Nathan are people i wish i knew IRL. if i wasn't terrified of the South...
and now the South is moving north. even going back home to California won't take me to a SANE place.
anyway, off to make that donation [and hoping it's in time to help!!!] thank you SO MUCH for that link. although i suppose some of my donations to PP sort of got there anyway...? better to be direct.
